Yesterday I put the finishing touches on the heart quilt. I trimmed off the excess batting & backing and added a binding. Today I hand washed the quilt in the bath tub, rinsed it really well, squeezed out the excess water and stretched it to dry. The quilting is finally complete! I took the quilt off of the frame yesterday, and removed the outside faux border that I had added for quilting purposes. Today, hopefully, I can get the binding cut and added.
Yesterday was a peaceful day filled with decluttering, cleaning and sewing. I was able to remove all the white thread from my mistake the day before and re-quilt the area using the intended colors.
